Our first sit-down will be June 22 at 1 p.m. EDT. Harvester Ed Laflamme will sit down with industry veteran Kurt Kluznik, owner of Yardmaster, a full-service landscape company based in Painesville, Ohio. Yardmaster also has branch offices in Columbus, Ohio; Erie, Penn., and Detroit, Mich.
Kurt has a track record of consistent, diverse business growth, as well as giving back to the industry through association leadership and community volunteerism.
Yardmaster was founded in 1971 and today has more than 250 employees including landscape architects (both registered and graduate) as well as certified and licensed landscape construction and maintenance technicians. The company offers design/build commercial and residential projects and landscape maintenance, including snow and ice management services.
Kurt is a registered landscape architect, a Charter Certified Landscape Professional (CCLP) and a nationally recognized leader in industry organizations such as ALCA (now NALP).

Kurt Kluznik, President, founded Yardmaster in 1971 as sole proprietor and is partner and Vice President of Little Mountain Homes, a home building and property development firm.
Kurt earned the national Charter Certified Landscape Professional (CCLP) designation in 1992 with the highest exam score. A registered Landscape Architect in Ohio, Kurt also holds a pesticide license. In 1992, Kurt was nominated to a leadership role with the Associated Landscape Contractors of America (ALCA) and has served as the chairman of the Education Committee, Chairman of the Certification Board of Governors, Chairman of the Exterior Landscape Division Board and Secretary-Treasurer and currently co-chairs the Crystal Ball Committee. As president of ALCA in 2004, Kurt was instrumental in the merger of ALCA and the Professional Lawn Care Association of America (PLCAA) leading to the founding of the Professional Landcare Network (PLANET).
