Good tips. We were mostly residential, so nearly every contract included mulch, seasonal color, etc. We treated those items separately in the billing to get 50% in advance and the balance when they were complete.

It was all the same contract, but there are many ways one can structure it to maximize cash flow.

Excellent thought. If you keep the enhancement work separate from the contract you can invoice it when completed and this will definitely help your cash flow. Thanks Jeff.
