A good relationship with your suppliers is a great thing to have, especially when you pay on time and in full. Suppliers know who those customers are and they will cut you price breaks, prioritize your order and keep you informed on their best special offers.

My suppliers know that I will back up the truck when the price is right. They also know I can pay them up front and that fact leads to additional discounts that give me a competitive advantage. Don’t fool around with your supplier/contractor relationship-say what you will do and follow up by doing what you have said.
