The Harvest Group announced that landscape industry veteran Chris Semko has joined the organization as a Head Harvester, bringing more than 20 years of hands-on leadership, operational experience, and deep industry roots to its consulting team.

Semko’s career has been built in the field and in the owner’s seat. Over two decades, he helped grow and scale landscape businesses in highly competitive markets, most notably guiding a family-owned company from $2 million to $25 million in annual revenue. His experience spans organic growth, franchise environments, and private-equity ownership – giving him a grounded, real-world perspective on what it truly takes to build a sustainable, profitable landscape company.Chris Semko - Harvest Group

“Chris has lived the same challenges our clients face every day – tight labor markets, rising costs, growing pains, and the pressure of leadership,” said Bill Arman, founding Head Harvester of The Harvest Group. “He’s not coming at this from a spreadsheet or a textbook. He’s been in the truck, in the yard, and in the office making tough decisions. That credibility matters.”

At The Harvest Group, Semko will work directly with landscape company owners and leadership teams, delivering hands-on consulting focused on aligning people, sales, and operations while improving financial and operational performance through practical, measurable strategies. His people-first leadership style and common-sense approach reflect the Harvesters’ belief that lasting success is built from the ground up.

“The green industry has given me everything,” said Semko. “I’ve had great mentors, learned some lessons the hard way, and experienced what it feels like to carry the weight of ownership. Becoming a Harvester is about giving that experience back – helping contractors build strong, disciplined companies and lives they actually enjoy.”

Semko’s addition strengthens a veteran consulting team of Harvesters who share a deep personal connection to the green industry and a commitment to working shoulder-to-shoulder with contractors. With his arrival, The Harvest Group expands its capacity to engage with more landscape professionals across the country and help them truly harvest their potential.
