What type of lockbox do you recommend?
To Jeremy-if you need a lockbox any will do as long as it is additionally secured either in a safe or bolted to a wall. Steel is always a good choice.
We solved that problem by not only having an extra key lockbox in the safe but by additionally hiding spare keys ON each truck in a place where no one from the crew knows. If someone gets stuck and can’t find their keys a quick call to the office and they are directed to the spare key location on the vehicle. The secret location is then changed to a different part of the truck by the office manager who keeps a password protected file with each location. It seems like a lot of hassle but the system works when needed.
